Macca Nutrition, Mindalife help disadvantaged children

On September, 15th, 2020, at the Ministry's Head office, the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) under the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) held the Signing Ceremony on helping disadvantaged children with Macca Nutrition Vietnam JSC and Mindalife JSC. Attending the event were Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha, representatives from the NA's Commitee for the social issues, Government's office; Mr. Le An Trung, General Director of Macca Nutrition Vietnam JSC and  Ms. Le Yen Hoa, Director of Mindalife JSC and representatives from relating units under MOLISA. 


Macca Nutrition Vietnam JSC will provide 95,000 boxes of milk worth 1 billion VND (43,000 USD) for more than 11,800 disadvantaged children in 15 provinces across the country.

Meanwhile, Mindalife JSC will help to build classrooms valued at 1 billion VND in the northern mountainous provinces of Dien Bien and Ha Giang during the 2020-2021 academic year.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha said 28 million children in Vietnam are in extremely difficult circumstances and 2.1 million others would fall into special conditions in need of support. Over the past 28 years, NFVC has mobilised more than 7 trillion VND to support 33 million turns of underprivileged children across the country. In 2019, 130 billion VND was collected and 130.000 cases of children was supported. Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha used the occasion to call on donors, and domestic and foreign enterprises to make more contributions to the fund to assist the targeted children.

At the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha highly appreciated the meaningful event. On behalf of the Ministerial Leaders, the Deputy Minister thanked all relating agencies, ministries, sectors and the sponsors for the heart and support for NFVC during the past years. Recently, besides the usual activities namely building schools, awarding scholarship, free optical cares, cleft palate surgeries, ... in 2019, NFVC had a big program such as cooperating with the relating units the national football tournament for children with special circumstances, and the first time, NFVC in cooperation with the leading experts launched the document guiding on caring for autism children...  In 2020, due to the seriously impact of Covid-19 pandemic, NFVC and the relating units implemented the activities with the aim at improve the survival skills for children, as well as the child care skills for parents when they stay home with children in the period of social distancing…
Highly appreciating the activities of NFVC for the past time, representatives of the sponsors committed to manage to accompany with NFVC to support for the meaningful work of the society in general and children in particular.
