On May 15th, 2020, at the Ministry’s Head office, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung had a cordial meeting with Mr. Yamada Takio, New Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam. At the meeting, the two sides exchanged a number of issues relating to the cooperation on labour, employment, especially, the issue on specified skilled labours.
On May 08th, 2020, in Hanoi, Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs in cooperation with Vietnam General Confederation held the Action month and Worker's Month 2020. attending the launching ceremony were Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung - Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - President of Vietnam General Confederation; Mr.Chang Hee Lee – Director of ILO Vietnam; representatives from the Ministries, sectors, and the member of the Central Steering Committee of Action month for labour safety, hygiene, Worker's month 2020.
  Taking place on the occasion of International Children’s Day, the visit marked the first milk boxes from the national School Milk Project reaching children in the province’s mountainous areas. From June 1, nearly 34,000 students in 575 kindergartens and primary schools across Quang Nam’s six mountainous districts - Bac Tra My, Nam Tra My, Dong Giang, Nam Giang, Tay Giang, and Phuoc Son - will receive a free milk box every day at school.  
On May 17th, 2019, the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has issued a Decision No. 588/QD-TTg on approving a plan to mobilise social resources to support children in extremely disadvantaged communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
