On January, 11, at the Ministry’s Head office, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung had a cordial meeting with Mr. Okamoto Shigeyuki, General Director of Canon Vietnam. Attending the meeting were Leaders from the Department of International Cooperation; the Department of Employment and related units under the Ministry.
At the meeting, Mr. Okamoto Shigeyuki shared that in 2022, Canon Vietnam had a relatively good business year, the number of orders was maintained stably, and the life of 21,000 labourers of the Group has been guaranteed. Moreover, the annual bonus for the labourers has been ensured.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung thanked Mr. Okamoto Shigeyuki for his visit to the Ministry. The Minister recognized the effort of Canon Vietnam during the past year not only overcome the difficulties, and challenges in order to maintain, and ensure the production supply chain and stabilize the field of business of thye Group, but also reached a higher quantity than in 2021. Sharing with the General Director, the Minister informed, recently, economic growth of Vietnam is relatively good; the bonus for labourers increase by about 11% compared with same period of the last year.
However, in the forthcoming time, there are many challenges from the international issues, increasing inflation pressure. The Minister suggested that Canon Vietnam needs to maintain stability, along with it, it is necessary to take steps that are most suitable to the socio-economic situation of Vietnam, in which more attention is paid to the issue of source training human resources, improve the skills of employees
On this occasion, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung sent Canon Vietnam the best wishes, and hoped Canon Vietnam would contribute to improve the quality of Vietnamese labourers.
