Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hoi receives Senior Assistant for the Appropriations Committee of President pro tempore of the US Senate Patrick Leahy

 On July, 2nd, 2021, at the Ministry’s Head office, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hoi had a cordial meeting with Mr. Paul Cheremeteff Grove, Senior Assistant for the Appropriations Committee of President pro tempore of the United States (US) Senate Patrick Leahy. At the meeting, Mr. Paul Cheremeteff Grove thanked Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hoi for the warm welcome. He hoped that in the forthcoming, the cooperation between Vietnam and United States would be strongly promoted in the field of supporting people with disabilities, supporting for bomb mine’s victims in Vietnam and support technology of DNA examination of martyrs' remains in Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hoi thanked the Delegation for their visit and working with the Ministry, as well as recognized that the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and the US had many development steps in recently. The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the support from the US in the field of labour, national devotees and social affairs, especially, the work of ensuring the rights of people with disabilities. At the same time, Deputy Minister also shared brief information to the Delegation about the situation of implementation and results of the cooperation activities between the two sides recently.

He hoped that in the forthcoming time the US would share the effective models relating to livelihood and support to the integration of people with disabilities into the community, and keep enhancing the work of finding and confirming the remains of martyrs. He also recommended the support the technology in the work of DNA examination of martyrs' remains in the forthcoming time.
Mr. Paul Cheremeteff Grove thanked the Deputy Minister for the frank sharing. He recognized the recommendation from the Deputy Minister about the cooperation activities between the two sides in the forthcoming time. He also emphasized the potential cooperation between Vietnam and the United States in the field of MOLISA in the future. He hoped that the two sides would have long-lasting cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Hoi thanked the Delegation for their sincere emotion with Vietnam and wished the Delegation a successful business trip.
