Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh receives the Delegation of representatives Kagoshima Prefecture (Japan)


On October 18th, 2019, at the Minitry’s head office, Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh had a cordial meeting with the Delegation of representatives from Kagoshima Prefecture (Japan) led by Mr. Mitazono Satoshi, Governor of the Prefecture. At the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh welcomed the Delegation to visit and work with MOLISA, he also thanked for the friendship of Japanese people for Vietnam. The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the support of Japan in development of Vietnamese human resource throught vocational training and receiving labour, internees go to study and work in Japan.

“So far, Vietnam has dispatched more than 200,000 internees to work and study in Japan. In 2018, total number of Vietnamese internees dispatched to Japan reached 68,000 people, the highest number among 15 countries dispatching internees to Japan.  Recently, the two countries has signed the MOU on the Program of Specific skills labour, which create the legal foundation for receiving Vietnamese labour to work in Japan. On the field of social security, Japan has supported Vietnam in many effective programs” – informed Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh.
At the meeting, the Governor Mitazono Satoshi thanked the Deputy Minister for the warm welcome, he wished to tighten the friendship between Kagoshima prefecture and Vietnam, and hoped that MOLISA would support and cooperate better and better in the future.
It was known that in the working trip to Vietnam, Kagoshima prefecture has signed cooperation with Hai Duong province of Vietnam at the Summit of Business in Vietnam 2019 with the witness of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
The MOU will encourage Hai Duong Province to dispatch the trainee to study and work in Japan. Kagoshima prefecture will increase cooperation and sharing the special technology in agriculture for Hai Duong province.

The Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh hoped that Kagoshima prefecture would widely cooperate with other provinces/cities in Vietnam to improve the number of technical trainees, Vietnamese labour to work at Japanese enterprises. He also hoped that the cooperation between the two sides would be increased not only in the field of labour, but also in the field of social security, vocational education.
