Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep receives Vice Chairman of Taipei Employment Service Institute Association

On July 11th, 2019, at the Ministry’s Head Office, Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep had a cordial meeting with Vice Chairman of Taipei Employment Service Institute Association, Mr. Jason Chen. Attending the meeting were leaderships representatives from the Department of International Cooperation and relating units under the Ministry.

At the meeting, Mr. Jason Chen, Vice Chairman of Taipei Employment Service Institute Association thanked the Deputy Minister for the meaningful meeting.

Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Jason Chen said that, Vietnamese labourers accounted for more than half of foreign labourers in Taiwan (more than 220,000 people), most of them are worker in factory and domestic workers. Vietnamese labourers are very hard working. In the forth coming, Taiwan will change the policies towards improve the benefit for foreign labourers who are working in Taiwan such as, the labourer who work in a long time will be issued the longterm Identity card, and have the right to pick up their family to live in Taiwan…

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep welcomed and highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation on human resource development between Vietnam and Taiwan for the economic development between the two countries. The Deputy Minister said that, MOLISA have already supported Taiwan’s business in promoting the role of labourers, ensuring the benefit of labour working in foreign businesses. He hoped that the relationship between Vietnam and Taiwan would be increasingly better.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Jason Chen commited that he would manage to help Vietnamese laboures working in Taiwan. According to the Vice Chairman, with the trend of aging population on the world, Vietnamese labourers can fill the shortage of human resource of Taiwan and contribute to the country  development.
