Minister Dao Ngoc Dung receives Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam

On November 16th, at the Ministry's head office, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung had a cordial meeting with Mr. Valeriu Arteni – Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam. Attending the meeting were Leaders of the Department of International Cooperation, Department of Overseas Labour and Ministry Office.

At the meeting, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung highly appreciated the contribution of the Ambassador Valeriu Arteni in the work of promoting the comprehensive partner relationship between Vietnam and Romania for the past time, including the cooperation with the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs.

Mr. Valeriu Arteni emphasized that labour issues have attracted the attention from both countries. According to the Ambassador, Rumania hopes that the cooperation in the field of labour and receiving Vietnamese labours towards the bilateral cooperation on labour should be brought to the framework to ensure the long-lasting and sustainability. The Ambassador said that, the recently growth of Romania has been at the first rank of EU's countries and the good social security of Romania which would be an important premise to attract foreign labourers, including Vietnamese labourers. The Ambassador hoped that after the official visit of Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, the cooperation on labour between the two countries would be more and more effective.

Sharing with the Ambassador, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that MOLISA assigned the State management in the field of Vocational Education and Labour Export. Currently, there are 1,954 vocational education institutions in the country. This is an important force contributing to raising the quality of human resources and skilled labour to participate in the socio-economic development of Vietnam. However, it have been still faced with many difficulties and challenges, especially the rate of unskilled labourers, skilled labourers unemployment ... Vietnam in the process of amending the Labour Code and Some relevant laws to ensure uniformity in the field of labour, including the issues on sending Vietnamese labour to work abroad and vice versa. Vietnam has a potential for labour. The Minister hopes that  the labour cooperation between Vietnam and Romania will be signed.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that the Vietnamese youth usually make a choice to go to university. However, in order to study at university, learners have to ensure their abilities and many other specific conditions. According to the Minister, university education is justifiable, necessary choice but this is not the only way to establish a career. The Ministry is currently planning to plan vocational education networks at the provincial level, each localities will have a vocational college.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung hoped that in the coming time, Romania would continue to coordinate and support Vietnam in the field of vocational education. At the same time, he committed that MOLISA to be ready to cooperate with Romania in the mutual interest fields, such as vocational education and human resources training with the aim at achieving green growth and sustainable development.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung thanked the Ambassador for his close cooperation during the time in Vietnam and hoped to continue to contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

On the same day, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung also had a cordial meeting with the Mrs. Marinela Milcheva Petkova - Ambassador of Bulgaria to Viet Nam. At the meeting, the Minister thanked Bulgaria for helping Vietnam in training thousands of university graduates and post-graduates. Sharing about the  official trip to Bulgaria, the Minister hoped to exchange cooperation in the field of vocational training, social security ... In the coming time, he expected that the two countries would have the intensify cooperation in all fields.
