Minister Dao Ngoc Dung receives Mr. Youssouf Abdel- Jelil – Head Representative of UNICEF Vietnam

At the meeting, on behalf of Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung thanked, recognized and highly appreciated the big contribution of Mr. Youssouf Abdel-Jelil to Vietnam in general and children in Vietnam in particular. The Minister highly appreciated the long-last term effective supports of the Head Representative with the field of child affairs in Vietnam, especially, the support in building the Law on Child Affairs of UNICEF. The Minister stressed that the Law was the foundation helping children approaching to the services, as well as the improved legal basis…Minister Dao Ngoc Dung hoped that with the  various experiences, Mr. Youssouf would make new successes at all position in the future…
Mr. Youssouf Abdel-Jelil thanked Minister Dao Ngoc Dung for the warm and opened welcome. He affirmed that Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs was one of the important partners of UNICEF. He  believed that all cooperation activities between the two sides would be ensured. He also affirmed that his will be chosen with the suitable characteristics and abilities in order to help children in Vietnam in the future.
At the meeting, Mr. Youssouf Abdel-Jelil highly appreciated the establishment of National Committee for children, he said that the Committee was one of the biggest achievements in the last year. UNICEF have cooperated, supported for the establishment and operation of the Committee, through that, the cooperation in child care and protection between the two sides would be more effective. He said UNICEF would try their best in the role of consulting and supervising when accompany with Vietnamese children. Moreover, He also noticed about the importance of human resource in the field of social work in the public institutions. He recommended a assessment of social work human resource under the direction of the Minister and the cooperation with UNICEF to create the base of supporting not only in the work of child affairs, but also spreading to the public service for the other vulnerable groups in the society.
Sharing with Mr. Youssouf Abdel-Jelil, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung affirmed that the cooperation between MOLISA and UNICEF will be continuously remained and developed. The Minister highly appreciated the recommendation of the Head Representative and agreed that in the forthcoming time, it's necessary to implement the comprehensive assessment on the capacity of manpower in the field of social work, and build the plan and orientation of social security in Vietnam for the next 5 years and further.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that, it's time Vietnam had a further vision and overall view in the relationship with the vulnerable group in order to ensure Vietnamese can be fully benefited the basic social security services. He hoped that the social security card system would be established and used in Vietnam, in which, there are at least 6 basis service, including health insurance, social protection,… with the aim at every people, especially, vulnerable people whose only one social security card can use all essential service every where. The Minister also highly appreciated the recommendation of the Head Representative on the assessment on the capacity of the manpower in the field of social security towards the Public service of the State would provide for the key issues which the private sector cannot implement…
At the end of the meeting, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung sent the letter written with all heart to Mr. Youssouf Abdel-Jelil in order to send the closely emotion of MOLISA.
