On October 03rd, 2018, at the Ministry's Head office, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha had a cordial meeting with Mrs. Shubha Murthi, Shubha Murthi, International Director for Asia - SOS Children's Villages International. Attending the meeting were Leaders of the Department of International Cooperation and SOS Children's Villages Vietnam.
On behalf of the Ministerial Leaders, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha welcomed Mrs. Shubha Murthi. On this occasion, Deputy Minister also thanked and highly appreciated the cooperation between SOS Children's Villages International and MOLISA for the past years and believed that the cooperation between the two sides would be much more better in the future.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister affirmed and appreciated the caring model of SOS Children's Villages in Vietnam, the environment with the warm and union emotion of the children who can live their brothers, sisters in families, with the care and love of the SOS mothers. Children who live in SOS Villages are fulfill ensured the daily demands such as nutrition, playing, learning, the children's right and staying in the warm family with the love and support each others. Therefore, the children have the huge love with SOS Villages till they have grown up, they often come back SOS villages to visit and look after their mothers, their brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Shubha Murthi thanked the warm welcome of Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha and respectfully invited the Deputy Minister to participate in the Meeting of National President of SOS Children's Villages in Asia, foreseen, will be taken place in January, 2019 in Sri Lanka. Sharing at the meeting, Mrs. Shubha Murthi also shared the concern on the new method of children caring, especially the placement caring for children in family and community in Vietnam.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha agreed with the opinion of Mrs. Shubha Murthi when affirmed that model of SOS children's villages is one of the suitable and effective placement care models for children who are orphans. The Deputy Minister also informed that, currently, MOLISA have submitted to the Prime Minister for the approval of the Scheme of "Caring for the comprehensive development of children in the early year in family and community", in which, there were a part of content relating to enhance the operation of suitable placement care for children.
On the activities of SOS Children's Villages Vietnam, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha and Ms. Shubha Murthi discussed on the organization of the Ceremony on awarding Friendship Order for SOS Children's Village International, the work of management of the Hermann Gmeiner School at the localities and the content and agenda of the Steering Committee of SOS Children's Village in Vietnam in 2018.
