Ceremony awarding the medal for the cause of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to the Chief Representative of UNICEF in Vietnam

On 27 January 2014, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs held a medal ceremony of the Cause of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs for Ms. Lotta Sylwander, Chief Representative the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Vietnam. Attending the ceremony were the Minister of MOLISA Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, Deputy Minister Mr. Doan Mau Diep, Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam, leaders and representatives from various departments of the Ministry.

In the nearly term of 4 years working in Vietnam, from 8/2010 to present, being position of Chief Representative of UNICEF in Vietnam, Ms. Lotta Sylwander has made great contributions to the development of the Invalids and Social Affairs branch. She has been at the forefront of the change of UNICEF's programming to ensure compliance with cooperative relation in the context of Vietnam - a national with average income. The program changing with strong focus on child protection, social security, disability, ethnic minority issues and programs of UNICEF at the local level.
 
On behalf of the leadership of the Ministry, the Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen congratulated and thanked the good cooperation of Ms. Lotta Sylwander and the staff of UNICEF in the last time. The Minister hoped Ms. Lotta Sylwander will continue to succeed in the new position, and wished the UNICEF staff continue to work closely with the Ministry for the development of the MOLISA branch in next time.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Lotta Sylwander expressed sincere thanks to the leadership of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs for the honor to receive the medal of the branch. Ms. Lotta Sylwander also shared, in the term of 4 years working in Vietnam, she impressed with the intimacy and hospitality of the Vietnamese people, especially Vietnam's commitments in the protection and care of children. She hoped to continue to have the opportunity to cooperate with Vietnam in the nearest time.
