Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam had a cordial meeting Director of the Human Resources Development Department, World Bank's East Asia and Pacific region

On the morning of September 20, 2013, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam had a cordial meeting Ms. Xiaoquing Yu, Director of Human Resources Development Department, World Bank's East Asia and Pacific region on the project to strengthen social support Vietnam (SASSP). Attending the meeting were representatives of the International Cooperation Department, the Institute of Labour Science and Social Affairs, the Department of Social Protection, the Department of Planning - Finance and representatives of relevant departments.



     At the meeting, the two sides highly appreciated the cooperation of the working group between the Ministry of Labour Invalids and Social Affairs, the World Bank (WB) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the result is September 18, 2013, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has signed the Decision 1617/QD-CP approving the list of SASSP Project funded by World Bank loans.
 
     On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam sent thanks to Mr. Christian Bodewig, Head of Human Resource Development Division of the World Bank in Vietnam has supported Vietnam in the duration of the project construction.
 
     Project of strengthening social support systems (SASSP) is the project made ​​between the Government of Vietnam (MOLISA) and the World Bank (WB). The goal of the SASSP project is to assist a program of social assistance in cash to poor families having children and pregnant women with a management system and modern implementation to enhance effectiveness of programs of social assistance, laying the foundation for the integration and improvement of social assistance programs in the future in order to aim at improving the health, education & nutrition indicators of poor children, contributing sustainable poverty reduction. There are 4 provinces of Ha Giang, Quang Nam, Lam Dong and Tra Vinh been selected to pilot implementation of the SASSP Project.
