Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen received the New Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in Vietnam

On July 05th, 2013, at the head office of the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen had a meeting with Mr. Mutsuya Mori, the new Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Vietnam. Attending the meeting were representative leaders of the International Cooperation Department, the General Department of Vocational Training, the Department of Overseas Labour and representatives of relevant units.





     Mr. Mutsuya Mori took the mission of the Chief Representative of the JICA in Vietnam in May, 2013. Before that time, he had worked as the Chief Representative of the Japanese Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC) in Hanoi.
 
     At the meeting, Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen highly appreciated the role and support of the JICA to the better cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Japan. In recent years, the JICA has cooperated very well with the branch of labour - invalids and social affairs in many areas such as vocational training, prevention of social evils... especially in 2012, the JICA supported Vietnam in the project establishing a hotline of human trafficking prevention and the bomb and mine clearance project in the Central provinces.
 
     The Minister congratulated Mr. Mutsuya Mori for his new task in Vietnam and hoped that at the new position, he will continue to take interest and call for the Government and investors of Japan to support projects promoting Vietnam's social security. The Minister also affirmed the Vietnamese MOLISA will support and create favorable conditions for the operation of the JICA to obtain practical results, thereby contributing to promotion of the friendship relationship between Japan - Vietnam to a higher level.
 
     At the meeting, Mr. Mutsuya Mori expressed his pleasure to come back Vietnam to work in the second time and gave the sincere thanks to the MOLISA for solemnly welcoming him and the JICA. He also highly appreciated the great development in many aspects, especially in the field of social security in Vietnam recently. As the Chief Representative of the JICA in Vietnam, Mr. Mutsuya Mori hoped the JICA and MOLISA continue to cooperate with each other to find out solutions to overcome difficulties so as to implement projects in Vietnam effectively. He also hoped the cooperation projects between the JICA and MOLISA will contribute to ensuring the social security as well as the development of Vietnam, bringing practical benefits to both countries Vietnam - Japan.
  
     Also at the meeting, Minister Pham Thi Hai Chuyen and Mr. Mutsuya Mori discussed the ongoing projects funded by the JICA in Vietnam such as setting up a hotline of human trafficking prevention, supporting Vietnamese interns in Japan... At the same time, the two sides discussed the contents of cooperation in the future between the MOLISA and JICA.
