Urging the implementation of the housing rent support policy for labourers

 With the aim of urging the implementation of the Decision No.08/2022/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister on stipulating the implementation of housing rent support policy for labour, on August 12th, Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) held the virtual briefing conference with the localities. Minister Dao Ngoc Dung chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh; representatives from units under the Ministry, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Finance, Vietnam Social Insurance, Vietnam General Confederation Labour, VCCI, and representatives of People’s Committees from citites/provinces...

The housing rent support policy is a humane policy pleasing to the people, with the agreement of the employees.

Addressing the conference, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that the whole country has passed the pandemic, and the most seriously impacted subjects are women and children, especially the labourers, migrant workers, workers in the industrial zone, and the areas of services.
The Minister informed that up to now, estimated, there are VND 146 thousand billion from the support of the state to help labourers, and employers cover the difficulties by Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, the policies helped labourers recover from the difficulties, and contributed to recovery of the socio-economy and the labour market quickly.
Currently, the scale of labour is increasingly recovered, especially in the fields, areas that had difficulties in the pandemic such as tourism, service…
The life and income of workers are increasing, especially after some policies were adjusted in the second quarter of 2022. The unemployment rate decreased, the rate of decent work increased. The relationship between employees and employers is maintained relatively well on the principles of stability, harmony, and progress.
The Minister said that, in general, it is necessary to have methodical and fundamental policies in training labour resources, and building a flexible, modern, sustainable and integrated labour market. In all those solutions, Vietnam focus on supporting workers and employers to create social development, through social development, and economic development, and business development, jobs creation in order to improve people's living standards, incomes, and welfare.
With the policies that have been implemented in the past time, our implementation of the policy of housing rent for workers, workers in difficulty must rent in industrial zones, key economic regions is extremely important.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung hoped that local Leaders would pay attention to direct the implementation of the housing rent support policy for employees according to the Prime Minister's Decision No. 08/2022/QD-TTg, and identify that implementation of this policy is a particularly important political task, an essential task in August so that this policy can reach employees quickly and effectively.
