On March 25, 2019, at the Headquarters of the Ministry, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung had a cordial meeting with Mr. Umeda Kunio - Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam. The content of the meeting towards the preparation of signing the Memorandum of Understanding on specific skill labour (skilled skill workers after the examination will be raised by the Japan residing visa from 03 years to 05 year) between Vietnam and Japan. Attending the meeting were leadership representatives from Department of Overseas labour and Department of International Cooperation.
Thanks to the warm welcome of Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, Ambassador Umeda Kunio shared information related to one of the Japanese policies on the program of receiving foreign workers as a residing of Specific skill workers. He said that Japan has developed a Memorandum of Understanding on Specific skill labour with 9 countries including Vietnam. Currently, the two sides have negotiated 3 times on the Memorandum of Understanding, in which Japan has always determined that Vietnam is one of the most important partners. Therefore, Ambassador Umeda Kunio hopes Minister Dao Ngoc Dung will continue to pay attention and direct this program.
