Dong Nai province: Provide good legal tools to workers
A province with a large number of workers working at industrial zones, activities of Dong Nai trade union are active but difficult. However, hard conditions in a tough environment are also a good kick for initiatives and positive practices, Dong Nai has successfully built up a “ model of legal information provision to workers”, and through that has actively protect legitimate rights and interests of workers.
In 2012, nearly 489,000 agricultural workers received vocational training nationwide
This is the confirmation from Vietnam Directorate of Vocational Training (MOLISA) announced at the media workshop on vocational training for rural workers held in Hanoi on 11 January 2013. Deputy Minister Nguyen Ngoc Phi attended the workshop. The Deputy Minister stressed: Deployed since 2009, so far, the policies on vocational training for rural laborers were issued relatively uniform, in accordance with the conditions of the country.
Labour figures fall short of plans
Viet Nam created over 1.5 million new jobs and sent 80,000 workers overseas last year, reaching 95 per cent and 89 per cent respectively of initial targets, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) reported on January 7, 2013.
