The National startup day for students 2020 kicked off
On November 23, in Ho Chi Minh City, Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) held the opening ceremony of the National startup day for students 2020 and kick off the competition " Vocational education student's start up idea - Startup Kite”. Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam; Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat; Deputy Minister of MOLISA Le Tan Dung; President of Ho Chi Minh city's People Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, Leaders of Directorate of Vocational Education, representatives from the departments, sectors, localities, businesses and more than 2,000 vocational students.
13th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour – “Supporting migrant workers during the Pandemic for a Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN Community”
In the framework of the activities of ASEAN in 2020, on November, 10th, Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs in cooperation with the ASEAN’s Secretariat and ILO in Vietnam held the 13th Virtual ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour (AFML) under the theme "Supporting migrant workers during the Pandemic for a Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN Community". Attending the forum were triparties’s representatives, representatives from relating ministries, sectors in Vietnam, academies, international organizations, experts in the field of migrant labour in Vietnam. Deputy Minister of MOLISA Nguyen Ba Hoan chaired the Forum.
Vietnam registered to participate 22 vocational professions at the 13th ASEAN Skills competition
On November 5, the Directorate of Vocational Education held a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the National Vocational Skills Competition to evaluate and learn from the 11th National Vocational Skills Competition and work of preparation to train the National team to participate in the 13th ASEAN Skills Competition to be held in Singapore in 2021.
Building the competitive, responsive and flexible ASEAN labour force in the future of work
On October 28th, the 11th Virtual Labour Ministerial meeting ASEAN+3 was held with theme of “Promoting the competition, responsibility and flexibility of ASEAN’s labourers in the future of work”. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Ida Fauziyah, Indonesia’s Minister of Human Resource. Attending the Meeting were Labour Ministers/ Heads of Delegations from 10 member countries of ASEAN, ASEAN’s Secretariat, China, Japan and Republic of Korea.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung awarded medals to the winners of the 11th National Vocational Skills Competition
After enthusiastic and honest competition of the participants and exciting and practical activities, on October 9, the No. 5 National Competition Council of the 11th National Vocational Skills Competition 2020 took place the closing ceremony and awarded medals to the winners. Deputy Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs Le Tan Dung attended and awarded the prizes to the participants.

On October 4, 2020, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) held the Opening Ceremony of the 11th National Skills Competition in 2020 and announced the Decision of the Prime Minister on "Vietnam Labour Skills Day". Attending the event were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Deputy Minister Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs Le Tan Dung, representatives of leaders of relevant ministries, departments, agencies and central agencies, representatives of international organizations and candidates participating in the 11th National Skills Competition and domestic and foreign experts.
National preparatory workshop for 13th ASEAN forum on migrant labour
On 28/9/2020, in Hanoi, Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) held the National preparatory workshop for 13th ASEAN forum on migrant labour with the theme “Supporting migrant workers during the pandemic for a Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN Community” through hybrid way with offline in Viet Nam and online with non- Vietnamese delegates.
ASEAN high quality manpower: The key of improving labour productivity and competition
The ASEAN High-level Conference on Human Resource Development for the Changing World of Work was held virtually on September 16 by Vietnam as the ASEAN Chair 2020, with the participation of 150 delegates. The Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) chaired, cooperated with Ministry of Education and Training held the Conference.
