Signing cooperation on labour, employment and social security between Vietnam – Bulgaria
On November 27th, 2018, in the official visit to Bulgaria, the Delegation of the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs led by the Minister Dao Ngoc Dung signed the cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Bulgaria. The agreement based on the cooperation commitment between the two countries' Governments on the dispatching Vietnamese Labour to work in Bulgaria.
Enhancing the cooperation in Vocational education between Vietnam and Federal Republic of Germany
On November 26th, 2018, at the Ministry's Head office, Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep had a cordial meeting with the Representatives from the the Department of Economic Cooperation and Development – Federal Republic of Germany Embassy to Vietnam.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung receives Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam
On November 16th, at the Ministry's head office, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung had a cordial meeting with Mr. Valeriu Arteni – Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam. Attending the meeting were Leaders of the Department of International Cooperation, Department of Overseas Labour and Ministry Office.
Deputy Minister Le Quan receives the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory of Australia
On November 7th, at the Ministry's Head office, Deputy Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Le Quan had a cordial meeting with Mr. Micheal Gunner, Chief Minister of the Northern Territory of Australia on the occasion of his visit to Vietnam from November 6th – 9th. In the visit to Vietnam, the Chief Minister hoped to strengthen the cooperation with Vietnam in the field of vocational education and labour cooperation.
Vietnam hosts Colombo Plan’s meeting on gender equality
The 46th Consultative Committee Meeting of the Colombo Plan (CCM46) kicked off in Hanoi on October 30. This is the first time Vietnam has hosted the Colombo Plan’s important session, which this year is being held to focus on gender equality. The two-day events bring together nearly 100 delegates from 23 member nations, representatives from the Colombo Plan Secretariat and many of Vietnam’s ministries and agencies, as well as observers.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung receives the Delegation of Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia
On October 29th, 2018, at the Ministry's Head office, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung had a cordial meeting and working with the Delegation from Mongolian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection led by Mrs. Regzen Sanjmyatav – Director General of the Department of policies support people with disabilities, and Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam. Attending the meeting, Representative from MOLISA were leaders from the Department of International Cooperation, Department of Social Assistances, Department of Child Affairs, Institution of Labour Science and Social Affairs; the visiting Delegation were Representatives from the units under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia.

On October 26th, 2018, Deputy Minister of Doan Mau Diep had a cordial meeting with Mr. Kiyoshi Ueda – Governor of Saitama Prefecture; Mr. Okabe Daisuke - Economic Ambassador - The Embassy of Japan in Hanoi with members of delegation on the occasion of the visit to MOLISA and signing ceremony of MOU on effective use of engineers and technicians between MOLISA and Saitama Prefecture.
The 17th Meeting of the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children
The 17th Meeting of the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) took place in Hanoi on October 20, gathering representatives from ten ASEAN nations and the ASEAN Secretariat. It was the ACWC’s second meeting in the year, following the 16th meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia in March. It was held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs and the ASEAN Secretariat as part of the third ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Women (AMMW). This meeting was one of related activities of the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Women (AMMW) 3 in Hanoi from October 18 – 25.
