Vietnam pledges to fulfill ILO membership obligations
Vietnam will make all-out efforts to fulfill its obligations as a member of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and further promote cooperation between the organisation and tripartite actors – the Government, employers, and employees in the country. Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, made that pledge at a plenary session of the 108th International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, on June 18.

On June 11th, 2019, at the Head office of Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung had a cordial meeting with the Delegation from Czech Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies led by Mr. Vojtech Filip – Vice Chairman of Czech Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies, Chairman the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia.
Vocational Education - the first step to escape middle income trap
On May 20th, 2019, at the Head office of the Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs, Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung had a cordial meeting with the Federal Republic Germany’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Christian Berger. At the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue cooperating in the field of vocational education between Vietnam and Germany. Attending the meeting were Leadership representatives from the Department of International Cooperation, Directorate of Vocational Education, Department of Overseas Labour.
Efforts to enhance the signing and ratification of Vietnam – EU Free Trade Agreement
On May 13th, 2019, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep had a bilateral meeting with Mrs. Madeleine Tuininga, Head of Unit on Trade and Sustainable Development, Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission on the occasion of the Delegation participating the meeting of Mixed Commitee for cooperation and Partnership Vietnam – EU (CPA). At the same day, Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep and Mrs. Madeleine Tuininga co-chaired the round-table on the labour issues in Vietnam – EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
Enhancing cooperation between Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and Thüringen State (Federal Republic of Germany) on vocational education
On April 09th, 2019, the Signing Ceremony of Joint Statement between Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Health care, Women and Families of Thüringen State (Federal Republic of Germany) on vocational education was held in Hanoi. Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and the President of Thüringen State – Mr. Bodo Ramelow chaired and witnessed the Signing Ceremony.
