Deputy Minister Le Quan receives Head Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia
On January 14, at the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs' Head office, Deputy Minister Le Quan had a cordial meeting with Mr. Giuseppe de Vincentis, Head Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
Enhancing Social security, employment and labour cooperation between Vietnam – Hungary
On January 06, 2020, in Hanoi, Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung had a meeting with the Senior Delegation of the Fidesz – Hungarian Civic Alliance led by Mrs. Katalin Novak, Vice President of the Fidesz – Hungarian Civic Alliance, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Human resource. At the meeting, the two sides shared many issues relating to enhance the cooperation on labour, employment, social security between the two countries in the forthcoming time.
Social affair sector praised for efforts to ensure social security in 2019
Addressing a teleconference on deployment of the duties of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs sector in the year of 2020, in Hanoi on December 25, 2019, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan praised the sector for its achievements in the year, especially in building institutions, improving the quality of vocational training and developing the labour market. The top legislator said that the labour - invalids and social sector made significant contributions to the socio-economic development of the country in 2019.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung receives ASEAN Secretary General
On December 03rd, 2019, in Hanoi, Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and ASEAN Secretary General Lim Jock Hoi had a discussion on the priorities, initiatives and activities in socio-cultural channel ASEAN 2020 and the abilities of cooperation, support of ASEAN Secretariat for Vietnam in the ASEAN Chairmanship 2020.
Conference on ASEAN communications and preparations of ASEAN Chairmanship 2020
On December 2nd, 2019, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) held a conference to popularise and prepare for the ASEAN Chairmanship Year 2020. Attending the event were Mr. Lim Jock Hoi, ASEAN Secretary General; Mr. Kung Phoak, ASEAN Deputy Secretary General for ASEAN Socio-Cultrural Community; Leadership representatives from the Departments; the focal point officials of international cooperation and ASEAN of Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Ministries, sectors of ASEAN Socio-Cultrural Community in Vietnam and officials from ASEAN Secretariat.
Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung receives Head Representative of United Nations Population Fund in Vietnam
On November 25th, 2019, at the Ministry Head office, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung had a cordial meeting with Mrs. Naomi Kitahara – New Head Representatives of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Vietnam. Attending the meeting were Leadership representatives from the Department of International Cooperation, Department of Gender Equality, Department of Social Assitances, Institute of Labour Science and Social Affairs.
Vietnam readily undertakes the role of ASCC Chair 2020
From November 01st – 02nd, 2019, in Bangkok, Thailand, the 22nd Conference of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Communnity, the 2nd periodical Conference in 2019 of the Community, was held in order to consider, agree results, documents of ASCC and submit to the 35th ASEAN Summit. Vietnamese Delegation led by Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung attended the Conference.
