The 6th Vietnam National Forum of Children: "Children participate in child issues"

  On August 15, 2019, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs in coordination with the Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescent and Children, Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized Opening Ceremony of the 6th National Forum of children with the theme "Children participate in child issues". Deputy Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha attended and had the opening speech. Attending the forum were Mr. Dang Hoa Nam, Director General of Department of Children Affairs, representative from the Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescent and Children of the National Assembly, National Fund for Vietnamese Children, representatives of ministries, branches, unions, national and international organizations, businesses sponsoring the Forum together with 169 children representing 26 million children on nationwide.  

Deputy Prime Minister urges construction of houses for the poor

Recently, at the Government’s Head office, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Head of Steering Committee for National Objectives Programmes and Mr.Tran Thanh man, President of the VFF Central Committee co-chaired the meeting to prepare for the charity programme “Joining hands for the poor” in 2019, the highlight event for the poor of this year.    

Validation workshop of the regional study on changing nature of employment relationships as the impact of the use of ICT and adequacy of legislations in regulating employment relationships

On July 29 -30 th, 2019, in Hanoi, Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs in cooperation with the ASEAN Secretary Board held the validation workshop of the regional study on changing nature of employment relationships as the impact of the use of ICT and adequacy of legislations in regulating employment relationships. The workshop aimed at creating an opportunity for representatives of labour channel from member states of ASEAN and relating international agencies, organizations to evaluating the researching results, the recommendation in the draft of report as well as discussing on the next step in the research.

Wounded war veterans hoped to remain bright examples in post-war period

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his hope that war wounded veterans will remain bright examples in moving forwards while meeting with 500 outstanding heavily wounded war veterans in Hanoi on July 25. The 500 veterans at the event, which celebrated the 72nd War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), represented 1.2 million war invalids, including more than 12,000 with serious injuries, across Vietnam. They lost at least 81% of their work capability due to war wounds, and most of them now in their 70s or 80s.

Prime Minister meets with seriously wounded war veterans

The Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc participated in a meeting to honor 500 seriously wounded war veterans who represent over 12,000 ones and 1.2 million war veterans nationwide on the occasion of the 72nd War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).
